Privacy policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

In short: KAM-Q does not send your email to us or to anyone else. Your mail is read on your own computer or in your own browser, and the search index stays there.

Who we are

KAM-Q is made by PRB Interactive Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). Contact: support@kam-q.com.

What KAM-Q does

KAM-Q builds a search index of your mailbox so you can find messages, people, and attachments quickly. The index holds each message's sender, recipients, subject, date, folder, and attachment names. It does not index the text of your messages.

Information we collect

We collect none of your mail or personal information on our servers. We do not run servers that receive your email, your index, or your sign-in details.

Windows and Mac apps. They read your mail through Outlook or Apple Mail on your own computer and keep their index in a folder on that computer. They make no internet connections.
Web app. Your browser connects directly to Microsoft or Google. Sign-in tokens, settings, and the index are stored in your browser only. Signing out and erasing KAM-Q data removes them.
This website. It is a static site. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested.

Permissions KAM-Q asks for

Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com: User.Read to show who is signed in, and Mail.Read to read mail. Both are read-only.
Gmail: read-only access by default. If you turn on the optional Cleanup feature, KAM-Q also asks for permission to move messages to Trash. It never deletes messages permanently.

How we use information

Information from your mailbox is used only to provide search and People features to you, inside your own browser or on your own computer. It is not used for advertising, sold, or shared.

KAM-Q's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing

We do not share your information with anyone, because we do not have it.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your index lives on your computer or in your browser. Delete the KAM-Q data folder, or sign out and erase data in the web app, and it is gone. You can also remove KAM-Q's access at any time in your Google account or your Microsoft account.

Security

Because nothing is sent to us, the main protection is that your mail stays where it already lives. Keep your computer and browser up to date and protected with a password.

Children

KAM-Q is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and describe the change on this page.
